Jewelers and metalsmiths of all skill levels, including beginners, can learn basics as well as expand their design and technical competency with an intensive, 15-week noncredit workshop held during the spring semester.
“Students can investigate a variety of techniques and processes, and learn new ways to solve problems in metal,” says Associate Professor Yevgeniya Kaganovich, head of the jewelry and metalsmithing area in the Art & Design Department, Peck School of the Arts. Instructor Lucy Derickson also will encourage students to explore their creative potential.
“Introduction to Jewelry & Metalsmithing” will be held Jan. 23-May 10 from 7-9:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
The schedule for summer 2012 workshops will be available in early spring 2012.
