Alumni of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Sheldon B. Lubar School of Business and other members of Milwaukee’s business community are invited to discover how the water industry has put Milwaukee on the international map for water innovation at a reception on Thursday, June 21, from 5-7:30 p.m. at the UWM School of Freshwater Sciences, 600 E. Greenfield Ave.
Lubar School Dean Timothy L. Smunt will welcome alumni and introduce Badger Meter CEO Richard Meeusen, who will discuss the Milwaukee Water Council’s collaboration with the UWM School of Freshwater Sciences and the positive impact it is having on the regional economy and beyond.
Select attendees will enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the school’s facility and an educational cruise on Lake Michigan aboard the Neeskay research vessel (weather permitting).
Cost is $10 per person online advance registration or $20 per person at the door (cost includes complimentary hors d’oeuvres; cash bar available).
