B.o.B performs on Sept. 7
PANTHERFEST is the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s biggest event, held this year on Friday, Sept. 7. The first 2012 featured national entertainer is B.o.B.
PANTHERFEST caps off Fall Welcome 2012, which kicks off Tuesday, Aug. 28. Fall Welcome 2012 features two weeks of events, activities and get-togethers for new and returning students. Information is available at fallwelcome.uwm.edu.
The PANTHERFEST pre-show begins on campus at 3 p.m. in the parking lot on Hartford Avenue between Chapman and Enderis halls. Then, PANTHERFEST moves to the Summerfest grounds. The headliner, B.o.B will take the stage in the Marcus Amphitheater. The second headliner will be announced soon; stay tuned.
Two great locations for PANTHERFEST
“For 2012, PANTHERFEST will take advantage of two great locations. On campus, there will be a range of fun activities for all ages, including Euro Bungee, carnival, joust, henna tattoos and a climbing wall,” says Rebecca Grassl, event coordinator for PANTHERFEST. “Then, festgoers move on to the Marcus Amphitheater for an exciting concert experience. As always, we encourage all PANTHERFEST fans to make good decisions related to their behavior before, during and after the event.”
UWM students will receive one free PANTHERFEST ticket. Tickets can be picked up in the UWM Union Concourse and at the “Ask Me Tents” across campus starting Monday, Aug. 27.
Faculty and staff can purchase up to two tickets, and UWM students can purchase one additional ticket, for $20 at the UWM Bookstore or $22 at the Marcus Amphitheater box office. UW System students can purchase one ticket for $28 at the Marcus Amphitheater box office. Box office tickets are available Sept. 4-7.
The Alumni Association has purchased 300 tickets, which will be distributed through a random drawing open to all alumni. To enter the drawing, fill out the alumni ticket form no later than 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 28. Winners will be drawn and notified via email by noon on August 29. Winners will receive two complimentary tickets. Full information here: http://www4.uwm.edu/alumni/events/pantherfest.cfm Good luck!
Tickets are general admission, but the first 3,500 UWM students to take a UWM shuttle to the grounds will receive priority seating in the Marcus Amphitheater.
