Pantherfest Survival Guide

Five insider tips on how to have a great PANTHERFEST

PANTHERFEST, UWM’s biggest event of the year, is an exciting tradition, and there are five important tips every student should know to have the best PANTHERFEST experience.

1. Bring you & your ticket, nothing else

If it doesn’t fit in your wallet, it won’t make it past the turnstile, and you’ll be turned away at the gate. PANTHERFEST is all about you and the music – don’t bring in any purses, backpacks, umbrellas, laser pointers, skateboards, Frisbees, beach balls, weapons, drugs or any other carry-ins.

2. PANTHERFEST Preshow

Kick off the PANTHERFEST celebration in the parking lot on Hartford Avenue between Chapman and Enderis halls with free food, games, bungee trampolines, henna tattoos and more – did we mention there is free food? Catch the free PANTHERFEST shuttles running from Hartford Avenue to the Summerfest grounds. This one’s a no-brainer.

3. Late is no longer fashionable

Get in line for a shuttle by 6:30 p.m. That’s no joke.

  • If you wait until 7 p.m., you’ll miss most of the first headliner, B.o.B.
  • If  you wait until 8:30 p.m., you’ll miss the first headliner, B.o.B, and part of the second headliner, J. Cole.
  • If you wait until 9 p.m., you’ll miss PANTHERFEST. Shuttles quit running to the grounds at 9 p.m.

Shuttles will begin to leave from Hartford Avenue at 5:30 p.m. Get on that shuttle! If you wait any longer, your wait in line could be up to two hours.

4. The VIP treatment

Be one of the first 3,500 students to board the PANTHERFEST shuttles, and you’ll receive a wristband for priority seating in the Marcus Amphitheater. For once, you can have the best seat in the house, for FREE.

5. Show your PRIDE

The best part of PANTHERFEST is remembering it. Don’t make your neighbors regret the day PANTHERFEST was created. Keep an eye on your friends, and watch out for one another. And, most important, have fun!
