The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee has announced Adrienne L. Bass as associate vice chancellor for alumni relations, effective Sept. 24.
Bass comes to UWM from Oakland University in Rochester, Mich., where she served as director for strategic programs. She previously served as director for alumni relations from 2000 through 2010.
“Adrienne will work with the UWM Alumni Association Board of Directors to build and maintain positive relationships between the university and its alumni,” said Patricia A. Borger, vice chancellor for development and alumni relations. “As a member of the Development and Alumni Relations team, she will strategically expand alumni engagement and reinforce the mission and reputation of UWM.”
Said Chancellor Michael R. Lovell, “Given Adrienne’s breadth of experience and noteworthy accomplishments, I have every confidence that she will take our UWM Alumni Association to a whole new level of success.”
UWM has approximately 140,000 alumni living in all 50 states and 90 foreign countries.
While director for alumni relations at Oakland University, Bass expanded volunteer service opportunities and engagement, significantly increased alumni scholarship endowments and developed partnerships for affinity, membership and alumni chapter programs.
Bass received a bachelor of arts degree, College of Arts and Letters, from Michigan State University in June 1988. She also has completed several prestigious leadership programs, including the Management of Managers program at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan (April 2010).
