Klezmatics appear at UWM Sunday

The Klezmatics, Nov. 4

Don’t miss Sunday’s exciting concert by the Klezmatics, one of the world’s leading performers of klezmer (Eastern European Jewish) music on Nov. 4, 6-8 p.m. at the Zelazo Center, 2429 E. Kenwood Blvd., at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

The six-member, New York-based ensemble is known for its successful fusion of traditional klezmer forms with 20th-century innovations (with elements of jazz and funk), for its understanding of Yiddish language and culture, and for its exciting live performances.

This Year of the Arts event is collaboration with the Sam and Helen Stahl Center for Jewish Studies and Hillel Milwaukee. Tickets are $30/Adult, $15/Ages 12-18, $5/Ages 12 and under FREE for UWM Students (with ID).
