The Klotsche Center will be rocking Saturday night when the Panther men’s basketball team hosts NCAA qualifier Davidson in a 7 p.m. contest.
The men are back on campus this season and are counting on great support from UWM students to help push them over the top. Saturday, all students in attendance will receive a free T-shirt, courtesy of Andrew Chevrolet. Students are admitted free with a valid UWM ID, and the doors open at 6 p.m.
The move back to campus has sparked plenty of improvements in the Klotsche Center, including new video boards, courtside LED tables and scoreboards. Concession locations have been added, and new banners and signs have been installed within the arena, with more signage coming throughout the building.
Saturday’s matchup will be a great test for the Panthers, who nearly knocked off South Carolina on the road last Sunday before falling in overtime. Davidson returns all five starters from a team that won 25 games and went to the NCAA Tournament a season ago. Meanwhile, Milwaukee is being led in the early season by transfers Jordan Aaron and Thierno “Bobo” Niang.
Tickets do remain available for non-students for Saturday’s game. For more information, contact the Panther Ticket Office at 414-229-5886 or purchase tickets at the Klotsche Center/Pavilion Ticket Office prior to the game.
