Jan. 27 Winter Hike and Chili Potluck

The UWM Field Station and the Friends of the Cedarburg Bog
Winter Hike and Chili Potluck
January 27

Winter hike 1:00 – 4:30 p.m.
Come explore the wonder and beauty of the Cedarburg Bog in the winter!  Join Jim Reinartz on a 4 mile hike to Long and Donut Lakes in the heart of the Bog.  We will hike somewhere no matter what the weather, but we will only hike in the Bog if the snow and ice conditions are safe. The field Station website will be updated with snow and ice conditions several days prior to the hike.  Be sure to wear appropriate clothes for winter hiking.  No dogs, please.

The Friends of the Cedarburg Bog will have Gripons (ice traction devices) for sale for $16/pair.

Chili Dinner    4:30 PM
Hikers and non-hikers are welcome to celebrate winter in the Bog.  The Friends of the Cedarburg Bog will provide the chili and beverages; if you can, bring a dish to share.  If your last name begins with A to M, bring a dessert; N to Z, bring a side dish.

Suggested donation for the Hike and Dinner is $5
