Sept. 20, “Transformative works” lecture at SARUP

AUP 170, 4:30 pm.

Founded in 2010, JGMA has developed a penchant for creating works that transform, people, place and typology stereotypes. JGMA’s founder, Juan Gabriel Moreno will discuss the projects that have led to the firm’s success, including the UNO Soccer Academy, Northeastern Illinois University El Centro Campus, and their competition entry for the Chinatown Public Library in Chicago which has been selected as a finalist. The common thread that links all of these works is the belief that architecture can have a transformative impact.
