Please join the UWM LGBT Resource Center for “Dreaming Out Loud: A panel discussion on Immigration Rights & Reform.”

Wednesday, October 30, in the Union Fireside Lounge (2200 E. Kenwood Blvd, 1st floor) from 7-9 p.m.

Provost Britz will be providing the welcoming remarks and the panel will be facilitated/moderated by Dr. Rachel Buff, UWM Ethnic Studies.The panelists include Israel Ramon (attorney connected to VOCES), Dr. Susana Muñoz (UWM School of Education faculty/researcher), Dr. Raoul Deal (UWM PSOA faculty/artist), Kirandeep Kaur Hans (student leader from DESI and Inclusive Excellence Center, IEC), and Gerardo Alvarado (student leader from YES!, Youth Empowerment in the Struggle!).

“Dreaming Out Loud” (10/30/13, 7 pm, Fireside Lounge) is a pre-programmatic initiative leading up to the Distinguished Lecture Series: “We are all Americans an evening with José Antonio Vargas” (11/7/13, 7 p.m., Wisconsin Room).

Now is the time to think about internationalization and global dynamics related to immigration rights and reform from a local perspective.
