On Saturday, October 19, 2013 Joyce Hall, Student Services Coordinator in the Children’s Learning Center at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), passed away. Joyce was born in 1961 in Beloit and is survived by her daughter Tiffany, her treasured grandchildren Amya and Devyn, and a host of other family and friends.
In commemorating Joyce, the Children’s Learning Center Director wrote the following:
In her role, Joyce hired all of the Center’s student staff. She worked closely with our teachers to ensure that classrooms were fully staffed. Joyce was a mentor to many of our student staff, coaching and helping students balance the demands of classes with personal needs and work commitments. She had an open door as well as an open heart. Joyce spoke for the unique needs of student employees within the Center.
Joyce’s death has left the Center grieving. We will miss Joyce’s warm smile, hearty laugh, candid observations and accepting nature. She will live on through our memories of the 11 years she worked with all of us here at the Children’s Learning Center.
Memorial services were held at Rosman, Ueling, Kinzer Funeral Home in Beloit.
