The UW-Milwaukee Peck School of the Arts cordially invites family, friends, and colleagues of former PSOA Assistant Dean Sue Thomas to attend a memorial gathering and celebration of her life on Friday, December 13, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in Room 250 of the Helene Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts, 2419 E. Kenwood Boulevard, Milwaukee, WI.
Sue passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her beloved husband, Scott J. Olson, Milwaukee, WI; daughter, Sarah R. Leather, Murfreesboro, TN; son, Spencer N. Olson, Milwaukee; mother, Dorothy E. Thomas, Knoxville, TN; sister, E. Kristie (Larry) Giordano, Knoxville, TN; brother, John R. (Cheryl) Thomas, Westford, MA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her father, John J. Thomas, Knoxville, TN.
Sue was born in Rochester, NY and received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Kansas. She was employed in the UWM Peck School of the Arts for over twenty years, first in the Art Department and, since 1995, in the PSOA Business Office. She ended her UWM career as the Assistant Dean for Budget and Personnel for the school.
Sue is greatly missed by all of us who worked with her, and we wanted to have an opportunity to gather and share our memories. We hope you will join us in the celebration of Sue’s life on December 13, 2013.
