The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee really loves “The Science Guy.” Bill Nye drew a full house to the Wisconsin Room in the UWM Union on Monday, Feb. 10. Nye appeared as part of the university’s Distinguished Lecture Series.
All 825 tickets for Nye’s presentation were sold within 48 hours of release.
Nye is an award winning scientist, engineer, comedian, inventor and author. His Emmy Award winning children’s series “Bill Nye the Science Guy” combines his comedic sense with his love for science – a combination that students enjoyed Monday evening.
The event was part of UWM’s first Geek Week Feb. 6-13, featuring more than 30 events and activities celebrating all things geeky. For more on UWM Geek Week, visit: https://www.facebook.com/UWMGeekWeek.
