UWM Spring Walk Challenge 2014

“Step Up to the Plate”

UWM Walk Challenge Spring 2014 – “Step Up to The Plate” is a Walking Challenge designed to promote well-being through physical activity. The 4 and 1/2-week Challenge begins on National Walking day which is Wednesday, April 2, 2014 and runs through Friday, May 2, 2014 when final Steps/distance entries will be tallied to determine the ranking of participants along the route. Ongoing personal walking is encouraged!

The challenge is sponsored by Best Places to Work and Human Resources. This is open to all current UWM employees. The challenge incorporates baseball by taking you on a virtual walk around the baseball diamond (right in time for baseball season)!

Put your paws to the pavement wherever and whenever you can!

The goal of the challenge is:

Understand the health benefits of regular walking and receive a free pedometer for participating!

Walking is an excellent, no cost form of healthy activity. The Challenge adds goals, fun, and camaraderie!

Motivation with the Challenge offers a great way to get started and keep going!
