Similar to a minor in terms of number of credits, students take courses across subject areas that share a common theme of diversity and community engagement. September 2014 marked the inaugural class for the Masters in Sustainable Peacebuilding at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. A cohort of 18 graduate students with wildly varied backgrounds began their journey to becoming peace-builders: people who will work to implement solutions to problems like religious conflict, water scarcity, poverty, urban violence, and food shortages, anywhere in the world.
