4th Street Forum @ UWM

The 4th St Forum took its show on the road on April 10, and UWM hosted “City As Solution: Building the New Urban Agenda.” The show aired the weekend after the taping, and is now viewable online. The host, Marcus White (VP of Community Partnerships at the Greater Milwaukee Foundation), is an Urban Studies alumnus and opened the show by talking about his time at UWM.

Participants in the forum were Tom Barrett, Mayor of Milwaukee; Jasmine Alinder, PhD, Director, Urban Studies Programs, UW-Milwaukee; Tony Shields, Executive Director, United Neighborhood Centers of Milwaukee (UNCOM); Linda Keane, Regenerative Architect, Milwaukee’s Studio 1032 & Professor, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

The program was a great success, with many members of the community attending the taping. The producers would like to partner with Urban Studies annually to bring 4th St to campus.
