A 2012 survey of 652 U.S.-born CEOs and heads of product engineering showed almost 60 percent had degrees in the humanities. “Some people like to imagine that the humanities is this special place you go to in a kind of ivory tower — locked away. But that’s not how it works. The humanities are in absolutely everything,” says Jason Puskar, an associate professor of English.
