Visiting Scholars

Dr. Myunghee Jun is a visiting scholar from Daejeon University in South Korea. She has participated in multiple research activities during her time at UWM. Dr. Jun’s research included seven peer reviewed published articles, three accepted abstracts for international conferences, and three ongoing international collaborative research plans. Dr. Jun is on a multi-year visit to UWM.

Lan Chen, a visiting scholar from Xiamen Medical College in China, is learning about the simulation lab, bilingual education and communicable diseases. She is a Master’s Nursing student in China, and has co-authored four articles. Her visit is from February 2013 through February 2014.

Visiting Scholars from Japan- October 2013
The College of Nursing was pleased to host a delegation of visiting scholars from the Chiba Prefectural University of Health Sciences in October 2013. The visitors met with CON faculty and staff to learn about parish nursing, palliative care, health policy and Healthy Wisconsin 2020, the Institute for Urban Health Partnerships, the UWM Silver Spring and House of Peace Community Nursing Centers, and the Westlawn Partnership for a Healthier Environment. The delegation was part of the Chiba-Wisconsin Association Goodwill Delegation 2013. The governors of Wisconsin and the Japanese prefecture of Chiba initiated a sister state partnership in 1990.
